Helping Prisoners Start Fresh

When people are in prison, they can feel cut off from society for a long time. This makes it hard for them to learn new skills, make friends outside of prison, and stay connected with loved ones. As a result, many prisoners struggle to fit in when they are released. They might feel like they don’t belong, and this can lead them to go back to their old ways. In fact, many prisoners return to prison within a few years of being released.

We want to help solve this problem through our prison decongestion and rehabilitation programs.

Our Solution: Empowering Prisoners for a Better Life

At GNPAI, we believe everyone deserves a fresh start. That’s why we’re working to empower prisoners with the skills, knowledge, and support they need to start a better life. We offer:

Vocational training: We teach prisoners new skills like carpentry, tailoring, and catering to help them find work and support themselves when released.
Counseling: We offer counseling sessions to help prisoners talk through their feelings and make a plan for when they get out.
Financial support: We give prisoners a little money to help them get started when released.
Mentorship: We match prisoners with mentors who can offer guidance and support.

Prison Decongestion: Reducing the Number of People in Prison

Nigerian prisons are overcrowded, with over 45,000 inmates living in harsh conditions. We need to work together to fix this. At GNPAI, we’re committed to helping reduce the number of people in prison through our prison decongestion program. We’re working with government officials, community leaders, and other organizations to make a difference.

Rehabilitation and Reintegration

The Global Network for Peace and Anti-Corruption Initiative (GNPAI) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting peace, anti-corruption, and prisoner reintegration.
